The Barbados International Business Association’s January 2013 Luncheon will focus on Qatar’s international investment strategy, specifically on the potential of Barbados as an investee country.

David Viney, CEO, David Viney Consulting Inc.
David Viney is an investment banker and advisor, with a 28 year career in retail, corporate and investment banking that has spanned Europe, the United States of America, as well as the Middle East.
Most recently, from 2011 to 2012 he served as the Head of Global Banking and Markets, Qatar, for RBS. As such, David is extremely well-qualified to share his unique experience and insight on doing business with Qatar. Qatar is noted as being the country with the highest per capita GDP in the world while also featuring one of the world’s fastest growing economies.
In presenting the seminar, David Viney will speak about Qatar’s strategic shift towards a future beyond a hydrocarbon based economy. This shift means that Qatar will be investing heavily overseas. David will cover the following topics in his presentation:
