BIBA’s April 2013 Luncheon will feature the newly appointed Minister of Industry, International Business, Commerce and Small Business Development, the Honourable Donville Inniss.
The recently appointed Minister is expected to inject fresh life into the Barbados offshore business sector. He envisions the sector playing a key role in providing growth and future prospects to the Barbados economy. As such, he plans to have his Ministry act as a catalyst in improving the way that Barbados addresses the needs of the international business community and facilitates the ease and efficiency in which business is conducted.
To emphasis this commitment, the topic of his discussion will be:
International Business – Our Best Hope in the New Economic Order
The Honourable Minister Donville Inniss has a long and involved history with the international business sector and his direct experience and unique understanding of the sector, which is now under the responsibility of his Ministry, is very promising.
Donville Inniss was the Managing Director of Horizon Corporate Management Inc., from 2007 to 2008. For almost a decade prior, from 1999 to 2007, he served as the CEO and owner of Global Overseas Limited.
He was also the Director of Corporate Development at Sanga International Inc., from 1997 to 1998. In addition, he has worked in several capacities both locally and internationally as part of the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC).
He has also previously served on the Board of the Barbados International Business Association. His long relationship with the international business community will prove to be an important one as the island charts its path forward.
Donville Inniss holds a MBA in General Management as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration from the University of the West Indies.
